YouTube is investigating problems affecting its Apple TV app after reports in the last few days show that users are receiving an error message that says ‘something went wrong’. The issue appears to affect users that are signed in to a Google account.
The error appears after attempting to load up a video using the YouTube app on Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K running recent versions of tvOS. It does not appear to affect every user.
YouTube says that is is “looking into it” and “working on a fix”. Issues appear to be corrected after reinstalling the YouTube app from the App Store and signing in with the ‘mobile’ option.
