The Xbox Series S controller has been leaked

This image is a concept only

Microsoft has been clear to the public many times that they have no plans to discontinue to Xbox One S and replace it with a more powerful console, like with the Series X. However, it’s becoming more and more likely that the company is indeed doing that – with the Xbox Series S.

Twitter user ‘Zak S‘ has shared pictures and videos of the controller for the S console. He claims that he purchased it from selling site OfferUp for $35. Multiple other images have surfaced today as well. The images show the look of the controller, official naming for the colour and consoles and packaging included.

The Series S controller is nearly all white, with only a black D-Pad (which Microsoft has improved, and calls it the ‘hybrid D-Pad’) and black thumb sticks. It also features a share button in the middle for quickly sharing clips and screenshots to social media.

The packaging shows that the white colour is officially called ‘Robot White and that it works for the ‘Xbox Series X | S’, meaning it supports both consoles and has confirmed the Series S naming for the cheaper console.

Microsoft said, in a statement to The Verge that “We have a lot in store for Xbox in 2020 and can’t wait to share with you, however, we have nothing to announce at this time”.
