Snapchat update brings support for iOS 14 widgets

With iOS 14, widgets were redesigned to be interacted with on your home screen. Snapchat is now receiving a new snapcode widget that can be placed on your home screen.

After updating to the most recent version of the app, the My Snapcode widget will be available. This will allow you to display your snapcode alongside your grid of apps, where other people can scan the code with their device. Tapping on the widget will simply open Snapchat.

The support for widgets in mainstream apps is limited, with Snapchat one of the only social media platforms to make use of them. A Twitter widget was teased at WWDC but has not yet been released.
