Microsoft Releases new Office For Mac Preview Build For Insiders

Microsoft has released new preview build of Office for Mac for Current Channel testers in the Office Insider program. The update brings new features for the Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook apps.

Word has gained improved collaboration features and redesigned comments, which support mentioning people using the ‘@‘ symbol. This new comment tool sends notifications to other users working on a shared document, allowing them to reply to comments through email.

Word and Outlook also receive writing suggestions, accessible in a “single click”. Left-clicking reveals a new card that suggests correct spelling, synonyms, context options and more.

Other new features in the latest preview update include Presenter Coach in PowerPoint, an improved contact card for Outlook and the ability to change how values are displayed in PivotTables. The features aren’t currently available to the public but will be rolling out soon with the next monthly Office 365 update.
