
Yesterday, Apple released iOS 14.5 beta 2 to developers and the update comes with a handful of large changes.
- Updated UI on Apple Watch when unlocking your iPhone
- Improved UI on Software Update page in Settings app
- 200+ new emojis, including redesigned headphones and vaccine emoji

- Take Screenshot action
- Orientation Lock action
- Set Voice and Mobile Data action
Apple Music
- Improved pop up menus with quicker animations
- New red Remove button
- New left and right-swipe gestures
- Updated glyph for adding to library or downloading music to device
- New indicator for downloading tracks
- Show Album button added
Other changes
- Landscape boot screen on iPad even with no keyboard connected
- Microphone disconnect feature implemented in software (iPad only)
- New wording for item-trackers in Find My app
We’ll continue to update this list as more changes are discovered. iOS 14.5 looks to be a major update with enhancements to the UI and big apps.
Apple is expected to launch iOS 14.5 alongside AirTags and new iPad Pro models in March.
