Kuo: Redesigned MacBooks and Apple Watch to be announced in 2021

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will launch redesigned MacBook models with Apple Silicon alongside a new Apple Watch in the second-half of 2021.

The previously accurate analyst didn’t confirm which MacBooks will be redesigned, but has said in the past that he expects a 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon to launch in the second or third quarter of 2021. Kuo also claims that demand for new M1 Macs is doing better than expected.

Demand for the Apple Watch has also been high, likely due to Apple releasing a budget ‘SE’ model alongside flagship Series 6 this year. Next year, the company could release an Apple Watch with a redesigned “form factor” and “innovative health management” features.

Apple won’t significantly redesign the high-end iPad Pro models next year but will add mini-LED displays and 5G support. They’ll also, as per tradition, release an updated budget, low-end iPad by the end of 2021.

Although all rumours and leaks are something to be skeptical about, Kuo has been highly accurate in the past, predicting four models of iPhone 12, the iPhone SE second-generation and more.
