iPhone 12 Pro Max named as one of the ‘best smartphones’ of 2021

Consumer Reports has named the iPhone 12 Pro Max as one of the “best iPhones” to buy as part of its “best smartphones of 2021” breakdown.

It says that the 6.7-inch Pro model “gives iPhone users an incentive”, as it offers longer battery life, a larger OLED display and improved ultra wide with 2.5x zoom camera, something the smaller iPhone 12 Pro can’t provide due to the size of the lenses.

While the 12 Pro Max will cost you $100 more than its smaller sibling, the 12 Pro, it packs in several more hours of battery life, a slightly larger display, and a 2.5x zoom camera that gets you just a hair closer to the action than the 12 Pro’s 2x camera.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max ranks at 85 in the Consumer Reports charts, while the iPhone 12 Pro scores 84, iPhone 12 has a score of 79 and 12 mini at 78 respectively. Consumer Reports also recommends the high-end Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G for the Android equivalent.
