iPhone 12 design leaked w/ smaller notch and iOS 14 widget view

We’ve seen some major Apple leaks since the start of this year, including the alleged iPhone 9 naming on Apple.com and only yesterday, iPhone 12 specifications. Now, “Choco_Bit” on Twitter has released some images taken from a leaked build of iOS 14, of what looks to be an unreleased iPhone with a handful of design changes.

The image shows an iPhone 12 and 12 Pro with a smaller notch. Whilst detail is generally limited because it’s from a line drawing, we can see that it would still feature the TrueDepth camera system and earpiece. This looks to confirm Jon Prosser’s previous leaks, suggesting that Apple will not be ditching the notch but rather keeping it for the next two years at least.

The bezels seem no different to those on iPhone 11 and 11 Pro, but diagrams usually depict this as thicker than the actual device. This image could also be of the iPhone 11’s successor, so could stick with slightly larger bezels anyway. However, it’s thought that Apple is trying to keep all devices symmetrical, so this may not be correct.

Many have pointed out larger buttons on the left and right-hand side of the device. They certainly do look larger, but as this isn’t an official render, it’s not likely to be very accurate.

iOS 14 is rumoured to be getting widgets on the home screen, that can be placed anywhere. Now, another confirmed and leaked leaked image shows a home screen with widgets placed around the grid of apps.
