[UPDATE: GM to developers] iOS & iPadOS 14.1 are now available

UPDATE 2: It looks like the final Gold Master (GM) version of iOS 14.1 is available to developers as a beta version before the software is released in the coming weeks. Apologies for any confusion. The updates are not available to everyone.

Apple has released iOS 14.1 to the public ahead of the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro launch. These devices are expected to ship with this software version.

It’s not clear what’s new in iOS 14.1 but it likely contains support for 5G and camera improvements on the new iPhones. Apple TLD will update this article if any new features for current devices are found.

The update can be installed through Settings > General > Software Update. Apple is still testing iOS and iPadOS 14.2 with developers and public beta testers and has just released the third beta (developers only). We’ll update if any major changes are present.

tvOS 14.1 is also available for Apple TV.
