Google has revealed to The Verge that it has discontinued the Pixel 3A and 3A XL, its mid-range smartphones, released in 2019. The company said that it has “completed sales” and “sold through the inventory” of the two devices.
The Pixel 3A and 3A XL “may still” be available from third-party retailers, however. It’s the official Google Store that will no longer stock the two devices.
It comes after Google was expected to announce this year’s budget version of the Pixel – the 4A. Due to delays, the device has only been leaked and not officially announced. It could come later than planned, possibly in July or August.
The Pixel 4A will have a 5.8-inch display with hole punch front-facing camera, headphone jack and Snapdragon 730 processor. The rear-camera will have a resolution of 12.2-megapixel and likely contain other major improvements over the 3A.
