Gmail for iPhone and iPad has been updated for the first time in three months. Google last updated it in December 2020.

Version 6.0.210124 brings “bug fixes and performance improvements” with the lack of notable new features. Gmail was updated alongside Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Meet and Google Calendar today. An update to Google Tasks today also bought new iOS 14 widgets.

Like most Google apps, Gmail lacked a privacy nutrition label, a feature introduced in December but first announced at WWDC 2020. Apple required developers to provide a privacy label with their subsequent app update and Google failed to release new versions of their apps until a few weeks ago.

Gmail received privacy labels one week ago but wasn’t updated until today. The latest version can be downloaded now from the App Store.
