Apple has released macOS Big Sur which brings a major redesign, improvements to Messages, Maps and other system apps, Control Center and dozens of other huge features.

macOS Big Sur is available as a free software update now. You can install it through System Preferences > Software Update (on Macs running Mojave or later).
