Fry’s Electronics ceases operations

Fry’s Electronics, a multi-billion dollar electronics store chain, announced today that they have ceased regular operations and will shut down “through an orderly wind down process” as a result of changes in the retail industry and the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The company’s stores had various themes, offering guests a unique experience that you wouldn’t find at other electronics stores.

Fry’s was in business for 36 years and operated 31 stores across 9 states. It also operated an online store, though no new orders can be placed at this time. They’re currently in the process of reaching out to customers with repairs and consignment vendors.
