In an update to Final Cut Pro X, which was released today, Apple has removed the ‘X’ branding from the name. Final Cut Pro drops the ‘X’, which was last used in OS X, until Apple rebranded it to macOS in 2016.
Alongside its iWork suite, FCP gains a new Big Sur-friendly icon to match the system-default apps. Apple touts that version 10.5 also offers improved performance on Apple silicon Macs and “accelerated machine learning analysis for Smart Conform”.
