Facebook has rolled out a fix for a major outage that took down WhatsApp, Instagram and other apps earlier today.
The downtime prevented users from sending and receiving messages on WhatsApp and Messenger and refreshing the feed and posting images on Instagram. Some users also reported that they could not access Facebook, although the problems didn’t seem widespread.
In a tweet, the company confirmed it has resolved all issues after the “technical issue caused people to have trouble accessing some Facebook services”. All services should now be working correctly again.
