CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2021 brings iPad app, new collaboration features and more

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2021 has arrived this week with major new features and improvements, including a dedicated iPad app and support for Apple Silicon Macs.

Live comments and a new dashboard are some of the new collaboration features coming with the latest release. Users can comment and annotate on a document in CorelDRAW.app (the web app, available with Graphics Suite 2019 and later) with feedback appearing in the desktop application on Windows or Mac.

Apple Silicon is natively supported in all applications, so the new version should feel fluid and fast. It has also been redesigned to support macOS Big Sur. Corel hasn’t released updates to older versions of the CorelDRAW suite, so users should update to the 2021 release to take advantage of the power of the M1 chip in Corel apps.

Following Adobe’s lead with iPad versions of Photoshop and Lightroom, CorelDRAW has come to the iPad for the first time with a dedicated app that makes it “easier to design on the go”.

Some other major new features including Microsoft Teams integration, support for the iPhone HEIF image format, perspective drawing tools, multi-asset export and a replace colours feature for tweaking an image’s hue and saturation.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2021 is available for $249/year (including the web and iPad apps) or a $499 one-off purchase. It comes with a 15 day free trial. Learn more about the new features here.
