As reported by Justin O’Beirne, Apple started testing the redesign of its Maps app in Canada on October 19th. This marks the fourth country and 10th and largest expansion of the Maps redesign, covering the entire country.
For years, Apple has been driving across countries and sending out pedestrians to collect data to improve Apple Maps and to support the Look Around feature, which is an alternative to Google Street View.
According to Justin, Apple has spent between 16 and 49 days publicly testing its earlier expansions. Given this, the expansion is likely to be released for all Apple Maps users sometime in November. You can view some examples of the new Maps changes in the photos below.
