Apple Watch Series 6 and SE starts shipping, arrives in stores

Multiple customers have noticed their Apple Watch Series 6 or SE has begun shipping. Both models are available in stores starting today with limited availability, alongside the new iPad 8th generation with A12 Bionic chip. Here’s an example of one of the shipping notifications:

Most customers have noticed their devices are shipping directly from China, but it also appears Apple is overestimating on their delivery times. One customer says their Watch, which shipped yesterday, is expected for delivery tomorrow. In my case, I don’t have an estimated delivery date yet, but UPS is allowing me to change the delivery date to September 21st, which likely means it’s already coming on or before that date.

Coming in a new Blue and (PRODUCT)RED finish, the Apple Watch Series 6 features the same overall design as the Series 5, with an oximeter sensor for blood oxygen monitoring, an altimeter, and a new S6 chip. The Apple Watch SE, announced alongside the Series 6, starts at just $279. Featuring the same display as the Series 6, it has all of the great features of Apple Watch, excluding the ECG app and oximeter sensor.
