Apple Watch Series 5 out of stock ahead of Series 6 refresh

Apple will announce an update to the Apple Watch in September, according to leakers like Jon Prosser. The Series 6 update will likely be quite minor with performance improvements and small changes and will succeed the Series 5.

Speculation is now mounting on a close release as stock of the Apple Watch Series 5, first introduced last year, has gone very low and isn’t available in some regions. Apple’s website confirms 44mm LTE stainless steel and Edition aren’t available for delivery or pickup, but that some aluminium models can still be purchased.

The speculation is based on availability in the U.S and won’t likely be sold out around the world. Apple is expected to release an update to the Apple Watch alongside the iPad 8 via a press release.
