Apple updates iWork apps on Mac with new icons and Big Sur design

Apple has updated its iWork suite of apps, Pages, Numbers and Keynote, on Mac, with a new icon and compatbility with macOS Big Sur, which was released yesterday.

macOS Big Sur features redesigned system app icons with rounded corners and iOS-app style icons. Along with dozens of third-party developers releasing their updates today, the iWork app icons have also had this treatement.

The apps also have a refined design that follows Apple’s new design guidelines for macOS 11. Support for Apple Silicon (likely the new M1 chip in the Mac mini, MacBook Air and Pro) has also been added.

The updates are available for free from the Mac App Store and can also be installed if you’re running macOS Catalina.
