Apple has released a minor update to the Dark Sky weather app, with performance fixes and improvements to the Apple Watch complications, which now update more frequently.

Apple purchased Dark Sky in March 2020 and discontinued the Android app soon after. It recently confirmed that the app would remain on iPhone, iPad and the web until the end of 2022, when it will be shut down.

The release notes state the following:

• Improved VoiceOver support
• Complications on Apple Watch update more frequently
• Addresses an issue that could prevent the moon phase from updating
• Stability and performance improvements

The Weather app in iOS 15 was updated with a new design, notifications, greater detail in forecasts and otehr major improvements. It’s thought that the updates were inspired by the Dark Sky acquisition.
