Apple tweaks Pro Display XDR webpage after complaints of misleading claims

Apple has changed the wording of a claim on its Pro Display XDR website after the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) concluded a review of its marketing.

After reportedly receiving complaints about how Apple’s professional display was described online, the ASA told Apple to stop using the term ‘Far beyond HDR’.

It has now adjusted the description on the website. Apple has been forced to explain that the Pro Display XDR supports 99% of the P3 colour gamut, not 100%, as the marketing may have mislead people to believe.

The freshly updated wording can be found on Apple’s UK webpage for the Pro Display XDR. Changes haven’t been made to international sites.
