Apple TV launching new production studios in UK

Apple is preparing to launch new production facilities for its original film and television content in the United Kingdom.

According to Bucks Free Press, Apple TV will move into two facilities based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire later this year.

It says the two units span 170,000 sqft and will be used for film production and sets. The new site is “the result of a hunt for studio locations with the UK”.

Works are currently taking place for a launch in late 2021.

Apple is developing its own content for its TV+ streaming service, which contains hits such as The Morning Show, Ted Lasso and See. It has plans for all-new films and series, plus new seasons of existing shows.
