Apple TV app now available on 2019 LG TVs

The Apple TV app is now available for all compatible 2019 models of LG televisions, just weeks after the company revealing that it planned to roll it out to both upcoming 2020 models and current TVs.

All 2019 OLED and NanoCell TVs will work with the app when it rolls out. Apple TLD can confirm that there is no new firmware update available that includes the Apple TV app as standard, but LG is seemingly rolling it out and it can be downloaded through the LG Application Store for free.

In a press release, LG confirmed that it will be available in over 80 countries, including the United States, Canada and United Kingdom.

LG Electronics (LG), which introduced its 2020 smart TVs with the Apple TV app at CES last month, is now launching the Apple TV app for compatible 2019 LG smart TVs in the United States and more than 80 other countries

It’s thought that the Apple TV app will be built in to new models. Compatible 2018 televisions from LG will be receiving the app in an update coming later this year.
