Apple stops signing iOS 14.0.1 after release of iOS 14.1

Apple is no longer signing iOS & iPadOS 14.0.1 after releasing iOS 14.1 to the public last Tuesday. The update is no longer available to download and users can not downgrade to the older version of the software.

iOS 14.0.1 was released with bug fixes on 24th September. Apple released iOS 14.1 with bug fixes and support for the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro lineup.

If you’re running iOS 14.1 on your device you won’t be able to downgrade to an older version of iOS to fix any major issues you might be experiencing. You’ll have to wait for Apple to release the next update to iOS 14.

iOS 14.2 is currently in beta testing with new emojis, redesigned media controls in the Control Center and Shazam (“Music Recognition”) toggle too. It will likely be released to the public in November.
