Apple has released updates to iOS 12 and iOS and iPadOS 14 that brings an improved security fix for a flaw that it says was ‘actively exploited’.
iOS and iPadOS 14.4.2 and iOS 12.5.2 resolve a security flaw where malicious web content ‘lead to universal cross site scripting’.
iOS 12.5.2 is available for devices that cannot run iOS 13 or later, including the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and original iPad Air. Users should update to the latest version of the software as quickly as possible to patch the bug.
Apple also released watchOS 7.3.3 to patch the same security issue on the Apple Watch.
