Today, Apple has launched Apple Music TV, a free station with curated music videos, interviews, performances, and more. It lives in the Apple Music app on the Browse tab and in the Apple TV app. Think old MTV in 2020.
Apple Music TV joins Apple Music 1, Apple Music Hits, and Apple Music Country as Apple’s free live stations, which means you don’t need to pay for a subscription to listen, and in this case, watch. Currently, the service is only available in the United States.
Variety reports the service launched with a countdown of the top 100 all-time most-streamed songs in the US on Apple Music. On Thursday, it will celebrate the upcoming release of Bruce Springsteen’s “Letter to You” album with an “all day Bruce takeover” featuring music-video blocks of his most popular videos, an interview with Zane Lowe, anchor of Apple Music’s radio station, and a special live stream fan event.
