Apple announces ‘Time Flies’ event on September 15

Apple has announced its next event on September 15th at 1PM ET/ 10AM PT / 6PM UK. It will be online-only and focused on products other than the iPhone, which will have a separate event later this year.

With the ‘Time Flies’ tagline, Apple is likely hinting at an Apple Watch focused event with two models expected – the Series 6, with improved performance, sleep tracking and more alongside a cheaper Apple Watch SE, which will replace the Series 3.

Although this product will be the focus of the online event, Apple could also announce a redesigned iPad Air 4, with USB-C, Touch ID in the power button and an all-screen front; AirPods Studio over-ear headphones and AirTags. It’s important to note this is based on rumors that have repeatedly been wrong in the past.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman is now claiming the company will release iOS 14 to the public in September but will delay macOS Big Sur, tvOS 14 and watchOS 7 until later this year. He also says Apple will hold another iPhone-focused event to reveal the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro with ‘redesigned cases, updated cameras, and 5G capabilities’.
