Apple announces September 14 event

It’s almost here: Apple has just announced their Special Event, which will occur on September 14th at 10 a.m. PDT. In their first event since WWDC 2021, Apple is expected to announce a new iPhone, which is expected to have a smaller notch, 120hz display, and even a feature that uses satellites to make calls and send texts during an emergency.

Alongside the iPhone, it’s widely believed that Apple will introduce AirPods 3 and announce the release date of iOS 15, iPadOS 15, tvOS 15, watchOS 8, and macOS 12 Monterey. While we’ll almost certainly also see the Apple Watch Series 7 launch this year, it’s unclear if the device will be announced at the September 14th event or at another, yet-to-be-announced event later in the year. However, Apple Watch Edition and Apple Watch Hermès models are currently sold out on the Apple online store.

According to a currently unavailable article from Front Page Tech, operated by Jon Prosser, pre-orders of the new iPhone will begin on September 17th and will launch one week later on September 24th. Those that want to watch the Apple Event on September 14th can do so online at apple.com or on the Apple TV app.
