macOS Big Sur is coming out on November 12th, and Apple has started allowing App Store submissions for the release. Developers can submit Universal apps built with Xcode 12.2 to ensure support for the newly-announced Apple Silicon Macs.
In macOS Big Sur, developers can also create widgets to make their apps visible at a glance– although widgets aren’t able to be added to the Home Screen.
