Analysts: New iPad Pro, iPad mini and iPad models at Apple Event, plus surprises

Analysts at Wedbush have said that Apple plans to launch new iPad Pro models, an updated iPad mini, new entry-level iPad and more products at the Spring Loaded event on Tuesday.

In an investors note, Daniel Ives and Strecker Backe claim that the main focus of the event will be on the iPad, with new models expected across the line. The iPad Pro will reportedly recieve signifcant changes, including a Mini-LED display, A14X chip and Apple Pencil 3. It is also set to see a “moderate” price increase.

Other iPad models, including the mini and entry-level model, will have “consistent pricing” and likely minor changes, although a report from Kuo said that the next iPad mini would have a large 8.5-inch display with thinner bezels.

Wedbush believes that Apple will also unveil a new Apple Pencil, which was leaked recently on social media. New iMacs, with larger display sizes and all-new colour options, plus the much-awaited AirTags are also “surprises” which could be announced tomorrow.

As for AirPods 3, Wedbush analysts suggest they could be teased tomorrow but will not be launched until summer, potentially at the same time as WWDC. It is not clear why new AirPods would be announced but not released until a few months later.
