With Apple releasing its ‘Find My’ application in 2019 that helped locate your Apple devices and friends, lead to the advent of a new product, Apple AirTags. These were first reported to being worked on by Apple in April of 2019. AirTags were meant to be Apple’s reply to the Tile trackers that had been first introduced almost 8 years ago.
AirTags are meant to be attached to items such as backpacks and keys that would make them easier to be found if misplaced through the ‘Find My’ IOS application. Even though AirTags have had quite a lot of rumors about it, Last month, Apple analyst Ming-chi Kuo had reported that they were set for a launch sometime in 2021. Following this statement, A tweet by Jon Prosser, who has been sharing tech related rumors since 2013, stated that the AirTags were on track to release as soon as next month.
He also added in a follow-up tweet that they were supposed to be rolled out somewhere near the release of the new 2021 iPad Pro. We can only wait and see what the future holds for us!
