Microsoft releases preview of Office 2021 for Mac

After confirming that it would release another perpetual version of Microsoft Office this year, Microsoft has officially released a preview of Office 2021 for Mac and Office LTSC.

Office 2021 for Mac will require macOS Mojave or later and is compatible with Apple Silicon and Intel-based Macs, with a minimum 4GB RAM and 10GB storage. It will receive no new features or monthly updates after the public release, which is expected later this year.

The preview version includes a new Line Focus tool, which intends to remove distractions and let Word users move through a document line-by-line. Other new features, such as XLOOKUP, an Excel search function, and Narrator in PowerPoint, are examples of what’s to come with Office 2021.

To try out Office 2021 for Mac, download the installer from Microsoft’s website (automatic download).
