5G Capable iPad Pros To Launch Later This Year

Digitimes has published a report, in which it says that Apple is planning to launch new iPad Pro models in fall of 2020, which will be capable of 5G connectivity. These models will be different from the rumoured iPad Pro models that are supposed to release in the first half of 2020, with upgraded cameras and a processor upgrade.

The iPad Pro hasn’t seen a refresh since October 2018

The March upgrade will most probably see an upgrade in the camera department, with the addition of a triple-camera layout along with 3D sensing capabilities for enhanced Augmented Reality. The 5G capable iPad Pro is set to be launched in late 2020, probably in September or October. It will incorporate both sub-6 GHz and mmWave specifications, and will see a most likely upgrade to the A14X chip, which will be based on a 5nm process. There won’t be any significant design changes though, with Apple going with the same design that was introduced in the current generation iPad Pros, launched in 2018.
