12.9-inch iPad Pro unlikely to ship until April at the earliest

DigiTimes is claiming that Apple won’t launch a new 12.9-inch iPad Pro with a mini-LED display until April at the earliest, contradicting with previous reports.

Citing industry sources, the publication appears to suggest that mass production and shipments will begin the second quarter, which starts from 1st April. It previously reported that the new iPad Pro will launch in the last week of March.

Apple has been widely rumoured to announce an event on March 23 but has not yet confirmed that one is happening. There has been speculation that it could launch at least one iPad Pro with a mini-LED display, AirTags and AirPods 3.

Apple is reportedly planning to hold an event in April, according to Jon Prosser who previously reported the March 23 event. This report coincides with the details out today from DigiTimes about the launch date of the new iPad Pro.
