OnePlus announcing ‘Nord’ budget phone on July 21st

OnePlus will announce its new budget phone, the OnePlus Nord, at an AR-focused event to be held on July 21st. The Nord will be a ‘more affordable’ device, priced in the sub-$500s. It will compete with the iPhone SE, announced by Apple in April.

The company revealed today that you’ll be able to view the event using an app, available for Android and iOS, on July 21st at 3PM BST/ 10AM ET. We should hear more information about the OnePlus Nord, including the camera and display specs, performance and more.

Note: the iOS app is yet to be published to the App Store and we’re waiting on the review process from Apple. Expect to see the live version later today or tomorrow.

OnePlus already revealed that the Snapdragon 765 5G processor will power the device, it will support 5G and will likely have a dual selfie hole punch camera on the front. Unofficial leaks claim the Nord could come with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and a 90Hz panel.
