Some of the world’s most popular websites, including Bloomberg, Financial Times, The Guardian, Reddit, Twitch, Amazon, CNN, PayPal, Gov.uk, Vimeo and Shopify are currently experiencing a major outage.
The outage is thought to be due to a bug in Fastly, which is a content delivery network for the affected sites. Websites that rely on a separate CDN, such as Apple, are not affected.
Amazon has restored its functionality, but other sites are still down. Fastly is investigating the problems.
