Apple has announced new Pride Edition Apple Watch bands today, alongside a new Pride watch face. The first of the two, the Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop, weaves the original rainbow colours from the Pride flags, representing what Apple calls a “breadth of diversity among LGBTQ+ experiences”. It is available in twelve lengths and is made out of recycled yarn, with no buckles or clasps. Ransomware attack shuts down health service in Ireland

Ireland has temporarily shut down its IT systems after what it calls a “very sophisticated” ransomware attack in the past day. It resulted in the national health service cancelling appointments and left doctor unable to access patient records. COVID-19 test and GP systems are among parts affected. The attack prevented patients from attending critical appointments, although vaccinations in the country weren’t affected, because they run on a separate infrastructure. Google testing improved Settings page in Chrome

Google is following Microsoft’s lead and is updating the settings page in the Chrome browser to be easier to navigate using an improved layout (via WinAero). Currently, the settings page in Google Chrome consists of a sidebar on the left, with sections like Appearance, Search Engine and Privacy, but scrolling down the center panel will display all settings. The updated interface, which is currently being tested in the Chrome Canary browser (enable it at chrome://flags/#settings-landing-page-redesign), separates these into sections, similar to how settings are displayed in Microsoft Edge. Alongside the announcement, the app is now on sale at 50% off, priced at just $19.99.
