Google has been updating its apps to support the new iOS 14 widgets. It has now widely rolled out expanded background support for the Google Search widgets on iPhone and iPad.
Previously, both the small widget, and larger one, which displays Voice Search, Incognito shortcuts and more, would change colours based on your system theme.
Google has rolled out more backgrounds for theme with a recent app update, letting you choose from a number of interesting themes, including ‘Earth’, ‘Abstract’ and ‘Travel’.
The backgrounds can also refresh daily if that option is enabled. You can change the background of the Google widget, in General > Widgets.
