Google Drive update adds Touch ID and Face ID authentication

Google Drive has received an update that adds the option to protect the app from prying eyes with Touch ID and Face ID on an iPhone or iPad.

The Verge reports that the feature has been spotted in the apps’ release notes, but Face and Touch ID unlock has been rolling out throughout April. It’s very likely now available to everyone with this update.

Google Drive did previously have a passcode-lock feature but this was removed a while ago. You can update to the latest version through the App Store, or download it here.
