Apple TV app now available on Chromecast with Google TV

The Apple TV app and Apple TV+ service are both now available on the new Chromecast with Google TV after being announced back in December.

The app will let you watch Apple TV+ films and series and stream purchased iTunes content from your Chromecast or Google TV-powered device. It can be found in the Apps tab or the apps row in the For You tab. Alternatively, download it to your Chromecast through the Play Store link here.

Apple TV will also integrate with Google’s voice search so you can ask Google Assistant to start playing a TV+ show or movie. Personalised recommendations and results will also include Apple Original titles and it will be possible to add Apple TV shows to your Watchlist. These features will be rolling out “in the coming months”.

Google also says the Apple TV app will also be coming to Google TVs from Sony, TCL and other manufacturers later this year.
