Apple TV App Launches on Roku Devices Today

Today, Apple has launched the Apple TV app for Roku devices ahead of the Apple TV+ release. The app can be downloaded from the Roku channel store. The app will allow users to access their iTunes purchases, Apple TV Channels, and Apple TV+.

The app will be supported on most Roku models except for a few “select older Roku models”.

It is a free download and your subscriptions will be managed through your Apple ID. You will also be able to watch Apple Channels such as HBO and Showtime which are managed through the Apple TV app. This app serves as a “one stop shop” for all TV needs on a variety of devices.

Apple is in the market to capture steaming revenue from all devices all around the world and not just Apple Customers. Apple is also set to release the app on Amazon Fire TV devices including the Fire TV and Fire Stick.
