Apple Launching Android App To Improve AirTag Privacy Features

Apple is improving the privacy and anti-stalker features of the AirTag, it confirmed today to CNET.

Currently, AirTags transmit an audible notification after being away from the owner for three days. Apple is rolling out an update from today to reduce this period to between 8 hours and 24 hours.

It is also developing an Android app to let users detect unknown AirTags and other devices on the Find My network. The app will be available later this year.
