Apple announces Pride Edition Apple Watch bands and new faces

Apple has announced new Pride Edition Apple Watch bands today, alongside a new Pride watch face.

The first of the two, the Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop, weaves the original rainbow colours from the Pride flags, representing what Apple calls a “breadth of diversity among LGBTQ+ experiences”. It is available in twelve lengths and is made out of recycled yarn, with no buckles or clasps.

The Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop features the six colours of the original rainbow Pride flag and uses a reflective yarn which is visible if lit up in dark envrionments. It can be adjusted and is flexible on the wrist.

You can order the Pride Edition bands from the online Apple Store today, priced at $99 and $49 respectively. The bands will be available in Apple Stores from May 25. The packaging will also include an App Clip that links to the matching watch face.

This Pride Apple Watch face, with scrollable threads, will be available to all users in an upcoming software update, Apple says.
