Analyst: 14-Inch and 16-Inch MacBook Pro Arriving At WWDC

Apple has been widely rumoured to announce new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models at WWDC. This has now been reiterated by analysts at Wedbush, who claim Apple has a “few surprises” in store.

Both are expected to include a new flat-edge design, with the removal of the Touch Bar, an expansion of ports, like HDMI and an SD card slot, the return of MagSafe charging, and other significant changes.

Apple is expected to introduce a more powerful variant of the M1 chip, first announced with updated Mac mini, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models last year. The M1X, or M2, could support up to 32 cores, 64GB RAM and additional Thunderbolt ports, Bloomberg reports.

It’s worth noting that Wedbush have previously been incorrect, claiming that Apple planned to release a new iPad mini and 10.5-inch iPad at the April event.
